I am an associate teaching professor within, and the director of the undergraduate program of, Carnegie Mellon’s Department of Statistics & Data Science.
My primary pedagogical interests are the teaching of mathematical statistics (the calculus-based probability and statistical inference class for undergraduates) and statistical learning (the modeling of data).
I am in the process of authoring two textbooks:
- Modern Probability and Statistical Inference (Illustrated with R)
- Basic Statistical Learning: a Guide for the Perplexed, with Sara Colando, Erin Franke, and Ron Yurko
